Bluethooth Headsets - Motorola H700
The Motorola H700 is Motorola's 5th generation Bluetooth wireless headset. It is the higher end model compared to the Motorola H500 and offers good voice quality, loud volume and ease of use, measuring 1.75 inches long and just over 1 inch wide. There is a large multi-function call button on the front which does call send, end call, answer and pairing with other devices. It also powers the headset on and off. The LEDs around the call button indicate charging and standby status. There is also volume up and down buttons of the side of the H700. The H700 has a quick connect feature called RapidConnect which allows you to turn on the headset by opening the boom, and turn it off by closing the boom. When your cell phone rings, all you need to do is to open the boom to answer the call, then close the boom to end the call.
The range of the H700 is average compared to other headsets in the same class. You will get around 12 feet of range before you get crackling and will eventually drop the connection.
To pair the H700 simply turn off the headset, then hold the call button until the LEDs turn purple. Open the boom so that the LEDs stay solid purple. The headset is now in pairing mode. Use your cell phone to attempt to pair with the H700 using "0000" as the default code.
The H700 comes complete with a rechargeable battery and travel charger and you can use either the charger or mini-USB cable to charge the headset. Claimed talk time is 6 hours with a standby of 130 hours. The headset is fully charged in around 2 hours.
Other features of the Motorola H700 Bluetooth headset are that it supports voice dialling over the headset, rejecting calls, redialling the last number, call waiting and 3-way conference call (as long as your cell phone supports these features).
