Why does it have 8 internal smart antennas?
It uses 8 internal smart antennas for both performance and appearance to provide a better networking experience for users. With 8 antennas, the signals are combined from the multiple antennas to deliver and stronger signal. The antennas are internal to give an aesthetically pleasing appearance together with no risk of breaking the antennas. What is Push-N-Connect?
Push-N-Connect is a fantastic way of attaching wireless devices to your home or office network without having to remember security pass phrases, or security method (WPA-PSK, WPA2). The user simply selects the wireless network they want to connect to and presses the WPS Push-N-Connect button on the router. The router has a 2 minute time interval in which you have to connect yoru device. Push-N-Connect will configure you network and device for you. Push-N-Connect must be supported on the wireless device to take advantage of this feature. How do I turn off the flashing blue lights?
There are 8 flashing blue lights on the top of the router which indicates activity of the 8 internal antennas. If the lights are not required they can simply be turned off by pushing the light on/off button on the back of the router.Netgear WNR3500 Performance
When using the Netgear WPN511 adapter, designed especially for the WNR3500 an outstanding performance of 10x more than Wireless-G can be obtained. That is a critical factor for video, gaming and high speed streaming.
There are more configuration options than any other MIMO router so it can handle unusual situations, if they arise.
The router is so much easier to set up than standard wireless routers as there are no antennas to deploy or screw, no need to orientate antennas or orientate the device and risk of breaking the antennas.
RangeMax routers offer better performance than other MIMO router in nosy environments, e.g. areas that are crowded with networks or 2.5 GHz phones.
The router has an amazing range of up to 500 feet and can work to a very close range of 6 inches.
